Quick reference
Work time reference charts
Quick tables for common time conversions, shift lengths, and clock-time examples.
Use a chart when you need a lookup, not a form
Reference charts are useful for values you check repeatedly: quarter-hour decimal equivalents, five-minute increments, common shift lengths, and typical clock-in/clock-out examples. They complement the calculators rather than replace them.
Each chart states what its values represent and links to the related calculator when you need to enter a custom value. Rounded decimal charts are labeled as references so an approximate display is not confused with an exact minute source.
Decimal Hours ChartCompare common minute values with their decimal-hour equivalents and see how base-60 minutes translate to base-10 hours.Minutes to Decimal Hours ChartLook up practical minute-to-decimal-hour values with rounded references and guidance for repeating decimal results.Minutes to Hours ChartCompare common minute values in decimal-hour and hours-and-minutes formats, with exact duration context.Hours to Minutes ChartLook up common whole and fractional hour values converted to exact total minutes using the ×60 rule.15 Minute Increment ChartUse quarter-hour reference values to compare 15-minute increments with the .00, .25, .50, and .75 decimal pattern.5 Minute Increment ChartUse five-minute reference values to compare minute increments with rounded decimal hours while preserving exact minutes.Work Hours ChartCompare representative clock-in and clock-out examples with unpaid-break assumptions and resulting worked durations.Common Shift LengthsCompare common elapsed shift lengths with unpaid-break examples to see how break time changes worked duration.Clock In Clock Out ExamplesReview clock-in, clock-out and unpaid-break examples showing worked time after breaks for same-day and overnight shifts.
