About Hourformula

Hourformula provides free tools and explanations for everyday work-time calculations.

What Hourformula covers

The site focuses on practical time arithmetic: hours worked, time cards, clock-out times, overtime estimates, decimal time, durations, business days, conversions, and reference charts.

Calculators are paired with guides and examples so you can see the rule behind a result instead of relying on a black-box answer.

How the tools are designed

Hourformula uses deterministic calculation rules and makes important assumptions visible. For example, business-day tools use a Monday-through-Friday model unless you enter supported exclusions, and overtime tools use the threshold and multiplier you provide.

Core calculations are designed to run in your browser and do not require an account.

What Hourformula does not decide

The site provides general-purpose arithmetic and reference information. It does not determine legal overtime eligibility, tax treatment, payroll policy, employment rights, contract deadlines, or which holiday calendar applies to a particular situation.

When a real-world rule controls the outcome, verify that rule separately and use Hourformula for the underlying calculation.
