This calculator counts Monday through Friday as eligible business days. Saturday and Sunday are skipped automatically.
Where you know a weekday holiday or closure that should not count, enter it in the excluded-dates field. Hourformula does not load a built-in holiday calendar.
Inclusive and exclusive endpoints
With Include start and end dates checked, eligible endpoints can count. When unchecked, both endpoints are excluded and only eligible weekdays strictly between them remain.
For Friday through Tuesday, the inclusive result is Friday + Monday + Tuesday = 3 business days. Excluding both endpoints leaves Monday = 1 business day.
Manual exclusions
An excluded weekday reduces the count if it would otherwise be eligible. Excluding a Saturday or Sunday changes nothing because weekends are already skipped.
